Steering mechanism bolt prompts recall of 2,000 SoulsThe Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said yesterday that more than 2,000 units of Kia Motors’ Soul will be recalled due to a possibly defective bolt in the steering mechanism.
According to the ministry, 2,474 Soul compact multipurpose vehicles manufactured between Oct. 26 and Dec. 31 will be recalled because a bolt that stabilizes the pinion gear of the steering wheel bar could loosen, causing noise and affecting steering.
Owners can receive free repairs at Kia service shops starting July 7.
