LG CNS said yesterday that it has developed smart lighting for industrial sites that cuts electricity use by 40 percent.
The solution will be applied first to LG Group affiliate LG Display next month, LG CNS said. LG Display started replacing 530,000 fluorescent bulbs with smart lighting at its assembly lines in Paju, Gyeonggi, and Gumi, North Gyeongsang, in September. The smart lighting at LG Display will save it up to 63 billion won ($61.3 million) on annual electricity costs, LG CNS said.
