Posco restructures its affiliates to increase efficiency
Posco, the nation’s largest steelmaker, said yesterday that it has restructured the management of its affiliates in order to boost efficiency within the group.The steel conglomerate said that carbon steelmaker Posco P&S will now own Posco AST, a stainless product maker, and Posco TMC, an electric steel plate maker, to manage the group’s specialty steel distribution and processing business.
Meanwhile, Posmate, an affiliate for building management and maintenance, will manage eNtoB, a company for maintenance, repair, and operation supplies, to govern the group’s B2B business.
Posco said that the integrated management of affiliates will save costs and eliminate overlap.
