Unit of GS Engineering gets $460 million contract in Brazil
GS Engineering & Construction said yesterday that its affiliate GS Inima will receive revenues of $460 million after a consortium won a sewer system project in Brazil. The company said GS Inima Brazil formed a consortium with local builder STE and Enorsul to win a $767 million Benedito Bendez sewer project by Brazil’s Alagoas state water utility company Casal. GS Inima Brazil has a 60 percent stake in the project, while STE has 35 percent.The affiliate of GS Group said the project is to build and operate new sewer facilities in the city of Maceido for 30 years. GS Inima has chalked up 568.9 billion won in orders this year.
