Soyou song sweeps local music charts

A digital single recorded by Soyou of girl group Sistar and two members from the R&B trio Urban Zakapa reportedly ranked No. 1 on eight of the most popular local music charts yesterday, according to local media.

Released on Friday, “The Space Between” is reportedly the sequel of “Some,” which was released by Soyou and hip-hop singer Junggigo earlier this year.

As of 4 p.m. yesterday, the song was at the top of local music charts Daum Music, Naver Music, Melon and Genie.

The male singers of Urban Zakapa, Kwon Soon-il and Park Young-in, joined Soyou in singing the song.

It was also revealed yesterday that Nam Bo-ra, an actress who starred in the song’s music video, is related to Min-woo, a member of K-pop boy band Boyfriend.

The star, who is 19 years old, posted a picture of himself and Nam, 24, on his personal Twitter account yesterday, stating that she is his aunt.
