Ali is returning with her third mini-album, “Turning Point.” As the title suggests, the songs will represent a turning point in her life and music. This is her first album after she signed with a new agency, and she has produced it with a different team than was used on the previous mini-albums. The resulting work shows off her amazing vocal range while enchanting listeners.

It kicks off with her deep and soulful voice on the title track “Peong Peong,” which tells of a woman who left her lover but can’t seem to forget him.

Ali shows off her deep, mature voice in “A Song Can Never Lie,” which contrasts with her former explosive singing style. “Missing You” is a contemporary pop ballad imbued with oriental ambience. “Drunken Phone Call” is a gentle acoustic song that depicts a painful parting and Ali sings the lyrics with a voice full of sorrow.

“Let’s be together” is a confession of a love that she wrote for her friend’s wedding.

Overall, the record is a reminder of just how good Ali is.
