Lotte Mart’s sales spike 57.4% with its new online strategy

Lotte Mart said on Tuesday that its sales of fresh groceries have recently increased more than 50 percent, largely thanks to its new retail omni-channel strategy.
The strategy is aimed at combining online and offline shopping methods, such as allowing customers to pick up items at a nearby shop after ordering online. Sales of groceries have jumped 57.4 percent compared to the period before Lotte adopted the strategy.
Lotte said people who use its new online purchasing service, which recommends items based on what consumers buy offline, has increased 50 percent.
