U.K. sponsorships available

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is set to begin issuing sponsorship certificates to those between the ages of 18 and 30 who are willing to work in the United Kingdom for up to two years as part of the Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS), a replacement to the U.K. Working Holiday Visa program.

Visa holders may participate in any kind of work aside from running their own businesses, working in professional sports or training as a doctor.

Applicants will be evaluated using a points-based assessment system on the following criterion: nationality, age and financial means.

Visas for the YMS will be issued to 1,000 Koreans. Prospective applicants can learn more at www.whic.kr. Applications and relevant forms must be submitted between Jan. 12 and 16.
