Boy band stars head to India

Six K-pop singers from different boy bands will head to India early next month to film a reality show.

Max Changmin from TVXQ, Kyuhyun from Super Junior, Minho from Shinee, Sungkyu from Infinite, Jonghyun from CNBlue and Suho from Exo will all be making the trip.

According to KBS, the six were cast for a new reality TV show called “Fluttering India” in which they will spend time with locals of similar age.

“They will hit the road on Feb. 2. The production team already visited India to check all the security issues,” KBS said on Friday in a press release.

In the past, some fans of the boy groups have opposed the idea of their favorite stars traveling to the country, citing safety issues.

“These are close friends, but they are also competitors,” KBS said.

“Since all of them are new to this kind of reality show and it is their first time getting together to go on a trip, we expect them to show new sides to themselves through the show.”

The show’s air date has not been decided.
