New drama from a webtoon

Singer-actor Park Yoo-chun and actress Shin Se-kyung will pair up in an upcoming drama series tentatively titled “Sensory Couple.”

Based on the web cartoon series “Girl Who Sees Smell,” the program will center on a man whose life is turned upside down after he loses his sister in a fatal accident.

Following the tragedy, the protagonist loses his sense of taste and smell and becomes insensitive to pain.

The drama series unfolds when he meets a woman who survived a similar accident and remains happy and upbeat despite having lost her memory.

The show is scheduled to begin shooting next week.

Park debuted in 2004 as a member of K-pop band TVXQ, which he later quit to form JYJ with his fellow bandmates.

While performing with JYJ, he has pursued an acting career and has starred in a number of hit drama series, including “Rooftop Prince” (2012) and “Three Days” (2014).

Shin debuted as the cover girl on singer Seo Tai-ji’s 1998 album “Take 5” at age 8. She most recently appeared in “When a Man Falls in Love” (2013) and “Blade Man” (2014).
