Cimidona, a medicine sold by Chong Kun Dang, helps women overcome the unpleasant symptoms of menopause. Provided by the company

Cimidona, a medicine for menopausal symptoms imported and sold by Chong Kun Dang, has been positively reviewed since its release last June.

The local pharmaceutical company is also the seller of Prefemin, a product that helps to ease symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. Chong Kun Dang’s pursuit of Cimidona shows that the company is committed to heightening the quality of life for women of all ages.

Cimidona, along with Prefemin, is produced by Zeller, a pharmaceutical company based in Switzerland that specializes in herbal medicine. The tablets are effective in minimizing hot flashes, sweating, sleep disorders, anxiety and depression - all well-known and uncomfortable symptoms of menopause.

It is made of extracts of black cohosh, an herb that is a member of the buttercup family. In Europe, the roots of the plant have been used to treat menopause symptoms for over 50 years.

Cimidona has gone through clinical trials to ensure its effectiveness and safety. The European Medicines Agency and the Committee on Herbal Medicinal Products approved the product.

In fact, the tablets are the best-selling menopausal treatment product in Switzerland.

Menopause is a natural phenomenon for aging women. However, some particularly suffer from its symptoms, which can get in the way of everyday life and could possibly lead to critical problems.

During menopause, women are more vulnerable to fatal health conditions such as arteriosclerosis, heart attacks and osteoporosis.

“Experiencing menopause significantly affects a woman’s physical and mental health as well as the life of her surrounding family members,” said a Chong Kun Dang official.

“Cimidona will reduce the stress and help women cope with just one pill per day.”
