Starbucks’ latte promotion ends before Milk Day today

Starbucks Korea offered 300 free lattes Sunday in Myeong-dong, central Seoul to commemorate World Milk Day today.

The company said the campaign was organized to boost sales of milk. The dairy industry has been having a tough time due to decreasing consumer demand.

Unfortunately, the free lattes provided were sold out in only 20 minutes.

Since Feb. 9, the company has offered discounts that lowered the price of tall lattes at its 760 stores nationwide every Monday. That promotion ends June 29.

The company said it will raise about 150 million won by donating 100 won for every latte sold to donate to the Korea Dairy & Beef Farmers’ Association.
