Shinhan Bank, Line partner to work on new business models

Shinhan Bank has partnered with Naver’s mobile messenger company Line to develop new business models in order to help establish a wider audience for its online-offline payment system Line Pay.

Shinhan Bank said on Monday that the cooperation with the IT company is part of its business strategy that focuses on fintech, or financial technology, in order to offer customers more financial services

“Recently, information communication technology companies and fintech start-ups are actively expanding into the financial service market,” said a Shinhan Bank official.

“The cooperation with Line will contribute to the vitalization of the local fintech industry.”
