Hyukoh signs with Tablo’s music label

Indie band Hyukoh have been chosen to become the first artist of High Ground, the label established by Epik High rapper Tablo.

The company announced the news on Tuesday, along with a release of the indie band’s teaser trailer.

Hyukoh is reported to have chosen High Ground because both the band and Tablo have been highly interested in each other’s music. They are also known to have become close after preparing for a concert together.

From now on, Hyukoh’s existing talent agency, Duruduru AMC, will join hands with High Ground in managing the band. Additionally, the band’s new label will help the group work on their music and also actively promote their music.

“We will support Hyukoh to continuously bring out fresh and good songs,” the two companies said.

Hyukoh, which consists of four members, has recently become one of the hottest acts in Korea after appearing on MBC’s flagship program, “Infinite Challenge.” The band’s popularity has gained momentum thanks to their music, which many listeners claim is different from ordinary pop music.
