Singer Jun Jin from the first-generation boy band Shinhwa is planning a solo comeback in September, according to various people affiliated with the 34-year-old on Friday.
“Jun has been preparing for the upcoming mini album for a long time and he has already announced the news to his fans.”
Even though the specific date of its release has not yet been confirmed, Jun is reported to have almost completed the new record and is currently working on the details.
The singer is planning to actively stage performances once the album is unveiled. Jun is also scheduled to shoot a music video, which is likely to take place abroad.
Jun’s new solo album will be the first since his last, “Fascination,” was released in 2009. The singer is reported to have put a lot of effort in the upcoming project, as he hasn’t brought out a solo album for quite a long time.
Fans will be able to meet Jun on Aug. 22 and 23, when Shinhwa holds concerts at Olympic Park in southern Seoul.
