New city airport terminal planned for Gwangmyeong

Next year, travelling on the bullet train KTX from regional cities to Incheon International Airport will be shortened by up to one hour, as a new city airport terminal is planned for KTX Gwangmyeong Station, in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi. Incheon Airport, Korea Railway Corporation (Korail) and the City Airport, Logistics & Travel of Korea (CALT) on Thursday agreed to build the terminal by the end of next year. As most of the inbound KTX trains from regional cities stop by Gwangmyeong Station, travelers have to get off the train and transfer to limousine buses that drive directly to the airport. The limousine buses are planned to run more than 90 times a day, with about 10 to 15 minute gaps.
