Lim Seul-ong to star alongside Han Suk-kyu
Singer-actor Lim Seul-ong has landed a role in the upcoming film tentatively titled “The War of a Father,” in which he will pair up with veteran actor Han Suk-kyu of “The Royal Tailor” (2014).
The movie is based on the true story of a solider found dead in 1998 near the Panmunjom truce village between South and North Korea, and the struggle by his father to solve the mystery surrounding his son’s death.
Lim debuted in 2008 as a member of the K-pop quartet 2AM and began his acting career in 2010.
He has appeared in various dramas and films, including “Hogu’s Love” (2015) “Late Spring” (2014) and “26 Years” (2012).
Lim also released a digital single last month with two tracks - “Melatonin” and “Witcher” - which he wrote and composed.
The members of 2AM have since stopped releasing albums under the group’s original name since three of its singers, including Lim, signed contracts with other agencies. However, they told local media that they would continue recording music under that name in the future.
