Song Ji-hyo, Chen Bolin to star in ‘Married’
“We Got Married” is an MBC reality variety show that shows what a marriage would look like between pairs of celebrities. Thanks to the show’s popularity, MBC exported the format to Jiangsu TV to produce a Chinese version.
Hyomin of T-ara and Kyuhyun of Super Junior have also appeared on the show, where they were paired up with Chinese stars.
Reports that the two will be on the program drew much attention from Korean and Chinese media.
“I perceived this as a great opportunity to make a name for myself in China,” said the 35-year-old Song, adding, “If Chen and I understand each other, we’ll be able to overcome cultural barriers.”
“Because of my job as a TV personality, I have never been out on a date during my whole career,” she continued.
The first episode featuring the couple will air on Sunday on Jiangsu TV.
