Big Bang fans cheated in scam

Three swindlers from Hong Kong who cheated fans of popular K-pop boy group Big Bang have been arrested.
Chinese media reported Friday the arrest of a group of swindlers that fooled at least 50 fans into purchasing bogus tickets to a Big Bang concert in Seoul.
The group reportedly claimed via a fake poster on a website that tickets for the concert were about to be sold out.
The swindlers collected reservation fees and told the deceived fans that the tickets would be given to them at the concert site. Some of the fans went to the concert expecting the tickets to be handed to them.
The victims reported the scam to the police following their return to Hong Kong. The victims were 49 women and one male fan. Most were college students and housewives.
Hong Kong police suspect there are more victims and are looking to expand the scope of their investigation.
