Star lineup announced for upcoming movie

Three tvN drama stars — Lee Sung-min, Cho Jin-woong and Kim Sung-kyun — are slated to appear in the new film “The Sheriff in Our Town” (working title).
Sanai Pictures announced Friday that the trio of stars, who stood out in separate tvN dramas, will star in the film.
“The Sheriff in Our Town” revolves around a former police officer who had retired in disgrace and suspects a successful entrepreneur of being a drug dealer.
Lee Sung-min, who played manager Oh in the popular drama “Misaeng” (2014), will play a nosy former officer from Busan who masquerades as a sheriff from his native town.
Cho Jin-woong, of the recent megahit drama “Signal,” will portray a businessman who is constantly regarded with suspicion by the sheriff.
And Kim Sung-kyun, an up-and-coming actor who appeared in “Reply 1988” (2015-16) and “Reply 1994” (2013), has been cast as the sheriff’s brother-in-law who assists the sheriff’s investigation.
Shooting for the movie is reportedly scheduled to kick off in July.
