Record views for Naver

Portal service provider Naver said it reached more than 380 million pages views for its mobile news site on Wednesday, when the General Assembly election was held. This is 134 percent more than during the 2012 presidential election, and 548 percent more than during the 2012 general election. Sports and entertainment-related news were not included in the figure.
Naver said that its traffic reached its daily high around at 11 p.m., which was when the results started to come out. Naver also ran a special page for the election with the Korea Broadcasting System (KBS), and more than 540,000 people visited it.
According to Naver, prior to election day, people were interested in finding out approval ratings, whereas on the day itself, visitors to the site looked election results.
