Kim Jang-hoon, Kangin sing duet

Singer Kim Jang-hoon (right) is releasing a duet song.

Kim’s management agency announced Tuesday that the singer is paring up with Kangin of the idol group Super Junior, and the song will be released April 29.

Filled with encouraging messages, the upbeat tune was composed by Tenzo and Tasco, who also composed many hits for Sistar, Apink and K. will.

“People these days are in need of comforting and encouraging messages,” the agency said. “Kim wanted his song to avoid being too serious like his recent political satire song ‘What Are You.’”

“Kangin’s musical color and prowess that he put on display in ‘King of Mask Singer’ amazed me,” said Kim on why he chose the K-pop singer as his partner.

“I was actually preparing to sing Kim’s songs in my past appearance on ‘King of Mask Singer’ but could not due to the format of the show,” Kangin said. “I was blown away after getting a phone call from Kim about doing the song together.”

The duet will be the last song of his single project, and Kim is planning to release his 25th regular album this fall.
