Kim Na-young named to new K-pop group

Singer Kim Na-young has been confirmed to be joining a new K-pop girl group created by Jellyfish Entertainment, according to the talent agency on Friday.
She will join Kim Se-jung and Kang Mi-na, both of whom belong to Jellyfish Entertainment, to create a new female act.
Although Kim Na-young has not yet officially debuted, she is already well-known to the public since she generated buzz on the survival audition program “Produce 101” (2016), on which 101 female trainees from various local agencies competed with each other to earn a spot on a project girl group.
Two other members of the new girl group — Kim Se-jung and Kang Mi-na — also took part in the show.
Kim Na-young was recognized by the public as an ace in the program, which ran from January to April, for her excellent singing and dancing abilities.
She also made herself known to the public by appearing in the music video of a track titled “Dynamite,” sung by K-pop boy group Vixx, which belongs to the same entertainment company.
Although specific details on the new girl group’s activities have not yet been disclosed, Kim Na-young is scheduled to return to the spotlight as a member of a new girl group in late June.
