Jin Air begins sales promotion

Korean Air’s low-cost carrier arm (LCC) Jin Air launched the biggest sales promotion for the year on Tuesday, calling it the Jin Market.

A maximum discount of 86 percent is now available.

The discounts will be on 26 air routes flying from Oct. 30 through March 25 of next year. Cheapest domestic deals include 15,100 won ($12.97) one-way ticket for flights bound to Jeju from Gimpo International Airport.

For international flights, round-trip tickets headed to Japan from Incheon range from around 100,000 won to 157,400 won depending on the destination.

Other LCCs are also up for a price-war to take a bigger piece of the holiday vacationing pie. The nation’s largest LCC, Jeju Air, will be slashing prices on 32 air routes starting today.

The tickets are for flights between Dec. 1 and May 31 next year.

One-way tickets between Gimpo and Jeju Island will cost 9,900 won and the route linking Incheon and Tokyo will only cost 37,900 won.

But customers will only be allowed to carry one carry-on with a weighs limit of 10 kilograms (22 pounds).
