Vixx will drop new concept album Aug. 12
The upcoming album will be the second part of the group’s one-year project, “VIXX 2016 CONCEPTION.” The project is divided into three parts, with each part revolving around a specific theme from Greek mythology.
The new album will center on Hades, the god of the underworld, which is expected to contrast from the act’s first album focused on Zelos, the god of rivalry and envy.
Although the label did not specify what kind of music the upcoming album will include, it released a 13-second teaser on the group’s official Facebook page that hints at the mood of the new release.
Along with the new music, Vixx will hold their third solo concert series, “VIXX LIVE FANTASIA ELYSIUM,” Aug. 13-14 at Seoul Olympic Gymnasium in southern Seoul.
Since Vixx debuted in 2012, the group has been known for their style of music that mostly revolves around unique concepts such as vampires or cyborgs. Some of their tracks include “Super Hero,” “Beautiful Killer” and “Voodoo Doll.
