Bieber’s neighbors will get examined
LOS ANGELES - Justin Bieber’s former neighbors must submit to a lengthy psychological exam as part of a case they filed that accuses the superstar of emotionally terrorizing them, a judge ruled Tuesday.Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Holly J. Fujie said mental examinations of Jeffrey and Suzanne Schwartz are essential to them proving they suffered severe emotional distress as a result of Bieber’s actions toward them.
Lawyers for the Schwartzes argued that a seven-hour psychological examination should not be ordered.
Fujie said their claim of severe emotional distress from Bieber’s conduct was “why it’s even more important [to] have a mental exam.”
Bieber, 22, egged the couple’s Calabasas home and repaid them roughly $80,000 for damage to their home. He has completed probation in a misdemeanor vandalism case filed over the incident.
Jeffrey Schwartz also accused Bieber of spitting on him, and the lawsuit filed in March 2015 contends the singer terrorized his family with loud parties, drug use and aggressive driving. The family lived next to the Grammy winner in a gated community but Bieber has since moved. AP
