tvN’s ‘Cinderella’ will kick off on Friday
Actress Park So-dam will star in the series. Her co-stars, who will play four knights, are actors Ahn Jae-hyun, Jung Il-woo and Choi Min and singer-actor Lee Jung-shin from the boy group CNBlue.
The producer of the upcoming series, Kwon Hyuk-chan, emphasized the difference between this drama and others based on the Cinderella story at a press conference held at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Nonhyeon-dong, southern Seoul, on Wednesday.
“As the title implies, it’s about how young people live, struggle and overcome problems together,” Kwon said. “However, I tried to think out of the box and gave a twist to the series that’s beyond imagination.”
The actress also added her hopes for the project.
“I want to deliver the energy I have felt from the character to the audiences - the vivacity and positivity,” Park said.
Jung, who will be starring in a domestic drama for the first time in two years, also expressed his determination.
“I feel more pressure [than usual], but I will certainly do my best to portray the character as romantically as possible,” Jung said.
