Big Bang promotes Unicef’s ‘Special Days’

테스트

K-pop boy band Big Bang will partner with the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) for the organization’s “Special Day Campaign,” according to the group’s talent agency YG Entertainment on Tuesday.

Big Bang are expected to raise awareness of the “Special Day Campaign,” which encourages people to celebrate their special days such as birthdays with donations.

Big Bang decided to promote this campaign because the group celebrates a number of anniversaries this month, including the birthday of member G-Dragon, who also goes by Kwon Ji-yong, on Aug. 18. The idol group celebrates their own 10th anniversary on Aug. 19.

“Big Bang have been participating in various donation activities on anniversaries,” according to YG. “This project with Unicef is meant to thank the group’s fans, who have been showing continuous support towards the act.”

Meanwhile, Big Bang will stage a concert called “0.TO.10” at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Sangam-dong, western Seoul on Aug. 20 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its debut in 2006.
