Red Velvet returns with new album

The release comes after a week of anticipation and teasers released by the group’s agency, SM Entertainment. Teaser images of each individual member were unveiled throughout the weekend through Instagram and Vyrl (SM’s own social networking app), leading up to the release of the teaser for the music video of the new single on Sept. 6.
The latest single is described by their agency as a bubbly synth-pop love song with a catchy hook to appeal to listeners.
Since the group’s debut in 2014, Red Velvet has enjoyed success, with its 2015 full-length album, “The Red,” debuting at number one on Billboard’s World Album Chart.
The members of the group have been actively working on solo activities as well. Irene recently completed her hosting duties for KBS’s “Music Bank” in June, and Joy won the 2015 MBC Entertainment Awards for Best Couple with Yook Sung-jae from male act BtoB for their chemistry in variety show “We Got Married.”
Red Velvet will hold its first performance for the new single on Sept. 8 during Mnet’s “M Countdown.”
