Kangta set to make solo comeback

K-pop idol singer Kangta is set to make a solo return with his latest mini-album “Home, Chapter 01.”

According to the singer’s agency SM Entertainment on Thursday, his upcoming record will be unveiled on Nov. 3. The release will mark the singer’s first album in almost nine years.

The latest album will contain five tracks, all of which were produced by the singer.

Since his last release, the singer has been building up his skills as a producer. He took charge behind the scenes for the solo album of labelmate Zhoumi, and was also tasked to produce the original soundtrack for the 2013 SBS drama “That Winter, the Wind Blows.” The idol singer originally debuted as a member of first generation K-pop group H.O.T in 1996. He will hold a solo concert entitled “Coming Home” at the SMTown Theatre at the COEX Artium on Nov. 4.
