SHINee returns with ballad ‘Tell Me What to Do’
Their upcoming single “Tell Me What To Do,” along with the album, will drop on Tuesday, according to agency SM Entertainment on Friday. The repackaged record was also reported to contain five new songs, which is more than what is typically included in repackaged releases.
The new single was described as a medium-tempo “emotional R&B” track with “trendy electronic music” elements. The lyrics will tell a story about a couple that attempts to spark their fading relationship. SHINee is especially praised in the industry for their vocal talent.
The group has also been releasing a number of teaser images since Thursday through their official homepage, building anticipation for their upcoming release.
The boy band previously released their previous single “1 of 1” in October, performing well on music charts with its retro concept. They were recently the recipient of the Prime Minister’s Award at the Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards on Oct. 27.
