Thurman calls out Weinstein on InstagramNEW YORK - Uma Thurman has wished everyone a happy Thanksgiving - everyone except disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.
In a cryptic Instagram post Thursday, the actress wished her followers a happy Thanksgiving but adds, “except you Harvey, and all your wicked conspirators.”
She says she’s “glad it’s going slowly - you don’t deserve a bullet.”
Dozens of actresses have alleged Weinstein sexually harassed or assaulted them, including Rose McGowan and Asia Argento, since The New York Times published allegations of sexual harassment and assault against Weinstein in October. But Thurman has said she’s waiting to speak when she’s less angry.
She plays an assassin in the Weinstein-produced “Kill Bill.” She also starred in “Pulp Fiction,” another of his films.
Meanwhile, Weinstein paid $1 million to silence an Italian model who accused him of groping her in 2015 after prosecutors decided not to charge him, and in the 1990s, his brother paid other accusers from his personal bank account, a magazine reported Tuesday.
Ambra Battilana Gutierrez told The New Yorker she signed a nondisclosure agreement before knowing the media mogul had a pattern of sexually harassing and abusing women.
