Big-budget sci-fi drama to premiere in 2018
A high-budget science fiction series from KBS2 is set to air sometime in the first half of next year, the network said Wednesday. The full episodes of “Are You Human Too?” starring Seo Kang-joon and Gong Seung-yeon have recently been completed, which took two years and more than 10 billion won ($9.23 million).The drama centers around a man who falls into a coma and his mother creates a robot duplicate of him. Actor Seo will play a double role of the sick man and the robot, while Gong will play the man’s bodyguard.
“We will keep doing our best to create the best quality of visual effects,” the production team said in a press release. “The drama will raise a question about humanity and connection and love between human beings and robots with artificial intelligence, which will be with us in the not-too-distant future.”
