World is waiting for ‘Psychokinesis’

The movie “Psychokinesis” starring veteran actors Ryu Seung-ryong, Shim Eun-kyoung and directed by Yeon Sang-ho of “Train to Busan” was included in the “24 Movies We Want to See in 2018” list published by the movie review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

The only Korean movie on the list revolves around a father who suddenly develops psychokinesis - the ability to move things with his mind - and uses it to save his daughter.

The movie is receiving attention all around the world because it is director Yeon’s first film after the successful “Train to Busan,” which was released in 2016.

“Busan” smashed box office records in Korea and sold more than 11.5 million tickets domestically. The film was shown at Cannes Film Festival in May 2016 and is set to be remade in English by the French movie production company Gaumont.

“Psychokinesis” is scheduled to hit theaters in late January.
