DSME secures deal to build 3 very large crude carriers

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering said Wednesday that it has clinched a deal to build three very large crude carriers.
The leading Korean shipbuilder said it is set to deliver carriers that can each hold 300,000 tons of crude oil to an unidentified shipping company in Europe by 2020.
Daewoo Shipbuilding did not provide the value of the order, but its accumulated orders in 2018 have surpassed the 1 trillion won ($923.5 million) mark.
