KT&G shareholders extend Baek’s term by three years

The current chief executive of KT&G was reappointed to head the Korean tobacco maker for another three years, the company said Friday.
Baek Bok-in’s reappointment was approved by shareholders during a meeting in Daejeon. KT&G is Korea’s largest tobacco and ginseng manufacturer, with more than half of its shareholders being foreign investors.
Last year, the company recorded 4.67 trillion won ($4.36 billion) in sales and 1.43 trillion won in operating profit.
