Roy Kim to release Japanese album in May

Singer-songwriter Roy Kim will release music in Japan this May, according to his agency MMO Entertainment on Monday.

“Kim will debut in Japan with his album ‘Roy Kim Best,’ which is set to be released on May 16,” said the agency. The album will feature 17 tracks including his popular song “Bom Bom Bom” and his most recent hit “Only Then,” as well as four songs that were featured on the soundtracks of TV dramas such as “Pinocchio,” “Do Not Love Me,” “Maybe I” and “Heaven.”

The artist rose to fame after winning the fourth season of the Mnet audition program “Superstar K” in 2012. Soon after the show, Kim released his debut single “Bom Bom Bom.” The singer is loved by men and women alike for his soulful voice and relatable love songs.

Roy Kim will perform at this year’s Seoul Jazz Festival, which takes place on May 19 and 20.
