Lawmakers from the main opposition Liberty Korea Party hold an emergency meeting near the publishing company in Paju, Gyeonggi, at the heart of a scandal involving the ruling Democratic Party on Tuesday. The Liberty Korea Party urged the Democratic Party to accept an independent counsel investigation into allegations that a blogger from the publisher worked with party members to manipulate online opinions during the presidential election last May.
