Daewoo E&C picked to build fertilizer plant in Nigeria

Daewoo Engineering & Construction said Friday it has secured a 310 billion won ($288 million) order to build a fertilizer plant in Nigeria.

The Korean builder won the order from Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals to construct the urea fertilizer plant in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, in the next 32 months, the company said in a statement.

The fertilizer plant will have a production capacity of 2,300 tons of ammonia and 4,000 tons of urea on a daily basis, it said.
