Lizzy changes name, begins acting

Singer and entertainer Lizzy, formerly a member of the girl group After School, will begin her career as an actor and go by the name Park Soo-ah.

“Park will play a lead role in the web drama, ‘I Picked Up A Celebrity On the Street’ on Oksusu, [a media platform operated by SK Broadband],” said her agency Celltrion Entertainment on Tuesday.

According to the agency, Park will play an actor who has big emotional ups and downs. The drama is currently in filming, and Park is working alongside actors Sung Hoon and Kim Ga-eun.

Park made her debut in 2010 as part of After School, and while active as a singer, she had minor roles in TV dramas such as MBC’s “Rascal Sons” (2012-2013), “Angry Mom” (2015) and more. She left After School in May of this year.

The drama is expected to premiere on Oksusu in September.
