Dayou Winia, a home appliances maker, said Thursday it signed a contract to ship around 120,000 refrigerators to a U.S. brand starting next year.
The company said it signed an agreement earlier this week with the brand to develop and supply five different refrigerators in a deal that will run until 2020. Dayou Winia declined to identify the U.S. brand, citing contractual terms.
Dayou Winia said the deal is estimated at around $200 million.
The Korean manufacturer added the refrigerators, whose shipping will start next March, will be 700 liters and larger.
Dayou Winia said the deal was made possible through cooperation with Daewoo Electronics’ retail networks.
Earlier this year, mid-sized Korean conglomerate Dayou Group took over Dongbu Daewoo Electronics and renamed it Daewoo Electronics.
