Hyundai Rotem signs big Bangladeshi train deal

Hyundai Rotem, a Korean railway system and plant equipment maker, said Thursday it has received a 271.2 billion won ($239 million) diesel-electric locomotive order in Bangladesh.
Under the deal, Hyundai Rotem will build 70 diesel-electric locomotives for Bangladesh’s railway authorities by 2023, the company said in a statement.
In May, the company already won a 41 billion won order to build 10 diesel-electric locomotives for the national railway authorities.
