Exo’s Lay set to make his U.S. debut

Lay from boy band Exo is all set to release his album “Namanana” in the United States on Friday.

According to SM Entertainment on Wednesday, his third solo album will be released worldwide on music streaming sites including Melon, Genie Music, iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify on Oct. 19. The album will contain 22 songs in total - half of them sung in Chinese and the other half in English.

The lead track “Namanana” is a dance-pop song with a moombahton rhythm and features the message that we should enjoy the present and look for our true selves.

A teaser for the song’s music video is set to be released on Thursday at 4 p.m. on both YouTube and Naver’s TV SMTOWN channel.

Lay, who debuted as a member of Exo in 2012, released his first EP “Lose Control” in 2016. He wrote all of the songs on the EP. Since then, he has been working with artists around the world to produce songs for his fans across the globe.
