Hyundai Motor reshuffles heads of global operations

Hyundai Motor reshuffled key executives for its global operations on Friday amid sluggish sales in major markets like the United States and China.

The carmaker appointed Kim Seung-jin, executive vice president of the global future strategy task force team, as the head of Hyundai Motor Global Operation Division. He will oversee sales outside of Korea.

Kim Seon-seob, head of the Hyundai Motor Business Operations Strategy team, has been appointed the new leader of Hyundai Motor India.

Yoon Seung-kyu, president of sales in North America, has been appointed the head of the carmaker’s regional headquarters in North America.

“The latest reshuffle is to fortify Kia Motors’ and Hyundai Motor’s capacity in global business,” the company said in a statement. “We plan to find new breakthrough as the global business environment worsens.”
