Singer Hwang Kwang-hee from boy band ZE:A, entertainer Cho Sae-ho and actor Nam Chang-hee have been confirmed as the new hosts for MBC’s “Weekly Idol.”
“[The three have been chosen since] they are able to treat the guests in a friendly and cheerful manner,” said Im Yeon-jeong, the program’s director.
The program, which airs every Wednesday, hosts different K-pop groups every week to chat and play games.
This is Hwang’s first hosting gig since he was discharged from the military on Dec. 7.
Cho is a renowned entertainer and host, appearing on popular programs including MBC’s “Infinite Challenge” (2005-18) and JTBC’s currently airing “Come to Me.”
Nam is both a TV personality and an actor. He appeared in SBS’s “My Love from the Star” (2013-14) and tvN’s “Mr. Sunshine” (2018).
