An icicle that grew upward from water in a bowl placed at a stone pagoda in Mount Mai in Jinan County, North Jeolla, on Monday. Morning low temperatures have been below minus 10 degrees Celsius (14 degrees Fahrenheit) these days. Every winter, many visitors come to the pagoda to see the mysterious icicles. This year, three icicles, each 10 to 16 centimeters (four to six inches) long, have grown upwards from three bowls of water. [NEWS1]
