A war of nerves continues between ruling Democratic Party (DP) Chairman Lee Hae-chan and main opposition Liberty Korea Party (LKP) leader Hwang Kyo-ahn in a marathon event on Labor Day on May 1. While over 1.5 million liberals posted an online petition on the Blue House home page to call for dissolution of the LKP for its use of violence in the National Assembly, over 200,000 conservatives did the same to demand the dissolution of the DP citing its railroading of four controversial bills.
