Nexen Tire opens a factory in the Czech RepublicNexen Tire completed its first European factory in the Czech Republic Wednesday, which it said will bolster its presence in the European market.
The factory was constructed to offer stable tire supplies to its customers including Porsche, Volkswagen, Renault and Fiat, the tiremaker said. The company said the location may also attract new customers as it is close to Europe’s largest car markets including Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
The factory has a capacity to produce 3 million tires per year, but will be expanded gradually so it can produce 11 million tires per year by 2022, the company said.
