‘Funding Together’ seen as success

MBC crowdfunding program “Funding Together” - a project show from star producer Kim Tae-ho - ended its first season on Sunday with lower ratings than expected, but the network is regarding the project to be a meaningful experiment.
According to Nielsen Korea, the finale had a 3.1 to 3.8 percent viewership rating.
The variety show featured celebrities who worked together to come up with meaningful ideas and collect funds to help them carry out their goals. Out of the six proposed projects, actor Yu Jun-sang’s national flag container reaped the most funds, collecting a total of 2.1 billion won ($1.8 million). Overall, a total of 2.5 billion won was collected through the show.
The channel also announced plans for a second season, which will begin airing in the first half of 2020.
