MBN to go all new in the afternoon
Maeil Broadcasting Network (MBN), whose executives have been indicted for accounting fraud, announced Monday that it is revamping its afternoon programs and focusing on news delivery by running four news programs in a row everyday from Monday to Friday.From 3:40 p.m. on weekdays, the network will run “MBN Pressroom,” followed by news analysis program “News Fighter” at 5 p.m. and “MBN Newswide,” a program that begins at 6:10 p.m. and invites academics and experts to discuss relevant issues with the anchor, and finally the MBN evening news program at 7:30 p.m.
“We hope that the restructuring of the programs will help improve our image and the people’s trust in us,” the media company said in its statement.
